I wonder anymore. Why do I even care or try at times? Every person has several masks that they put on, Shit even i do, and thus you can NEVER truly know who a person is.

People have a mask for when they are around family. People have a mask for when we are with friends. People have a mask for the significant other. People have a mask for there co-workers. People have a mask at home around there children. People have a mask for life out in public.

We all have a reason for our masks, but no two people have the same reason for that mask. Let seance the advent of modern technology we have created even more masks. The internet has lead to an endless amount of masks that we can have. Just spent an hour on 4chan, read live journal for a bit, or even any social networking site and this is self evident.

The point I am making here is, that the moment that you think you know someone, your going to find out soon, that there are still several layers left before you can truly know a person. If anything, it could take a good 10 years before you will probably know what is behind every mask a person has. Until then enjoy it, don't freak, don't panic, and don't back stab, it is only part of getting find out what is behind the masks. I guess that is why I contune to care.
An observation of how I view people, and why I have a hard time trusting people.

Yeah, I know. Known for ages actually, but I know why I create these layers like you said. My reasons are good, you'd do the same I'm sure you do. However, I try not to have as many as I can have, try to be true to myself, no matter where I am or who I'm with. Does this make sense? There are only two secrets that I will never reveal to anyone except my Dad, he's knows them both. Everyone else, tough luck but I'm sure you can guess at both of them and k-hotaru has obvious clues to the other.
